This soundtrack album saw Miles teaming up with old musical collaborator Michel Legrand (they worked together in the 1950s). Although the album has Miles’s name on the cover (along with Legrand’s), half the numbers are played by trumpeter Chuck Findley. Miles’s then current band also took part in the sessions, along with a host of session musicians. Much of the music is a throwback to Miles’s 1950s and 60s days, and the only track that sounds like his 1980s music is the funky tune “The Jam Session.”
