Miles Davis Blu-spec CDs

Just when you thought you had every conceivable CD version of Miles Davis albums, along comes yet another format. Sony’s Blu-spec CD uses the same blue laser technology as the Blu-ray Disc high definition video format to burn the CD data pits. Sony claims that this produces more accurate data pits and, as a result, better sound quality.

At the time of writing, Sony has released 29 Miles Davis Blu-spec titles, including three albums from the 1980s, The Man With The Horn, We Want Miles and You’re Under Arrest. The photographs show what the packaging and labels look like for the Blu-spec albums.
